Just landed my first senior portrait session! Now I just have to figure out the printing situation... Who wants to donate to the Melanie-Needs-An-Inkjet-Printer Fund?

Get the Galaxy. Seriously, it's beautiful. I got the S3 (I've never been a tech girl, and the only apple product I own was my brother's old touch which I BARELY use since I got my galaxy)..and OMG. The iPhone looks so sad in comparison. I've never been one for big phones (my old Blackberry was PERFECT, imo)..but I feel like if I'm going to shell out for a new gadget, might as well get one I can do stuff with (like watch videos and text!). Plus it has a purple cover, so I was sold ol. But seriously, it's super fast and a massive screen. PS- if you get the new iPhone, be prepared to spend an extra chunk of change on an adapter and a new charger- the port is different so you'll need their adapter if you have ANY iDevices (iHome, etc) that you want to use with your iPhone. Yay tech companies making millions of dollars off child soldiers and slave labor!Well I'm kind of leaning towards the Galaxy S3 only because I already have another Android-based smartphone and I could move the SIM card from my current one to the other one, so it'd be a lot easier to move a lot of things over, but at the same time, I'm getting kind of tired of a lot of companies only making apps for iOS and not for Android. I also like the the iPhone 5 allows 8 hours of talk and/or web browsing, whereas the Galaxy S3 only offers around 5.5 hours of web browsing (granted, my current phone only lasts around 3-4 at the point because it's slowly dying, lol).
But I do have some time to figure it out cause I'll probably wait until November to upgrade (that is, if my phone keeps charging until then) and I'm in Texas cause then I'll just change over my phone & number at the same time.
I am so pissed off about this. This was such a crap move by Apple.PS- if you get the new iPhone, be prepared to spend an extra chunk of change on an adapter and a new charger- the port is different so you'll need their adapter if you have ANY iDevices (iHome, etc) that you want to use with your iPhone. Heck even I would tumble for that...though I would never offer to my cp lolSome girl at my gyms dad nought her a brand new Mercedes crossover when she landed her standing back handspring for the first time... What's she going to get when she throws her full? A country??? Lol
The mind is a strange and powerful thing. I'm sure there's some psychological reason behind this but I haven't taken Psych since last year and its all a bit fuzzySo after 6 years of cheer I've just found out that I can tumble. For so long I've struggled to do anything past a BHS. In one tumbling practice today I did a Roundoff BHS Tuck and was working layouts; I have no idea how! All I know is every time I did my run up I had to imagine I was on Stingray Orange; if I didn't I wouldn't do anything past a BHS! The mind is a weird and amazing thing.
I don't know how this works (I was 15/16 when my parents divorced and I DARED my dad to try to take me to court to make me spend time with him. We're ok now, but try telling 16 year old adult Kristen what she could/could not do. Yeah, no.), but when my parents were separating we had a guardian ad litum? I think it's called? They were there to make sure we were being taken care of/treated properly. Granted we hated her because of our own reasons lol (again, we were 10, 16 and 18), but maybe you had one and they could help you? I would think that if you were legal to drive, you should be legal to make decisions in regards to your custody at this stage in your life. It's worth a shot to try to talk to somebody to see if you can work something out. As long as your dad gets even partial custody, it might make things easier?I absolutely hate the fact that kids aren't allowed to choose which parent has custody over them... i was also 7 when my parents got a divorce, but i'm 16 (17 in a month) and my mom has full custody. Which is the worst thing ever... I'm only allowed to drive my car, that my DAD bought for me to school, work, and home. My dad doesn't care where i drive, and he doesn't think its fair but since my mom has custody its what she says goes and not what he says even though he paid for the car... so if i want to go hang out with my friends, i have to find a ride because my mom won't take me and i'm not allowed to drive. i pay gas and insurance and my mom's name isn't even on the papers we signed to get the car. she shouldn't have any control over it whatsoever... UGH
ETA: that's just one of the things she does. this is basically the same with everything my Dad buys me..
well, here i am procrastinating the insane amount of work i have to do..
and i am also on youtube obsessing over lennon and maisy stella. like seriously they're amazing. i am now jealous of 12/8 year old girls. and for an 8 year old her ability to harmonize is breathtaking.

They are truly amazing. My cps discovered them on YT a few months back and have all of their covers downloaded. Prefer their versions to some of the real ones!
