It's not my fault that people have an opinion on these,
you put them out in public and you're just going to have to in the words of
Central Jersey All Stars DEAL DEAL.

What I think your problem is that people, don't like this look and you're embarrassed as the team mom who advocated for these ridiculous things.... not to add further salt to the wound - but these tutus added an extra $100.00 onto the already $400.00 uniform - and that was before you even got them altered and attached... a lot of buck - for little payoff.

I do not like the tutu, it's a purple tulle nightmare. (but then, again my kids not wearing it!)

So before you come on here getting nasty - I would invite you to PM me, and I'll get nasty right back at you.

I'm pretty sure they're velour, not velvet. I think it's a more breathable fabric.

I'm getting Jammy a Target tutu for the next jamfest we attend. Because, you know, he IS kind of a "tulle." ;)

They're stretch velvet but, yes, breatheable. As I don't actually wear one ( :eek: ) I'm not technically sure how they stack-up against another material and the only other all-star uni Little Razzi wore was full-top Mystique. Can't really compare that.

My only thing on the tutus is it's probably a little weird to stunt in them, but super fun to dance in. But then again, I'm a dance-to-cheer person who misses tutus incredibly. :(

when it comes to ordering GK uniforms, how do you go about making your own custom uniform? do you phone them up and describe it, let them know what style of arm/ neck you want, etc?... my team is looking to get new ones and we knwo what we want, but it's sort of a mash up of other uniforms (if that makes sense)

I am a GK Sales Rep - To order a custom uniform, I would suggest finding the local Sales Rep in your area. We have our National Sales meeting this week (tomorrow actually) and I know we have made several new hires, so I am sure the list will be updated next week. Here is a semi-current list that can be found via the GK Website. http://www.gkelite.com/us-cheer-account-managers

If your area does not have a local rep, reach out to one that would be closest to you (Example: Wisconsin doesn't have a current Sales Rep, so Id recommend reaching out to one of the Illinois reps) The rep can then help you get started on your order. In all of the custom designs I have done, typically the customer will fax me over some of their drawings, and our design team will put together several different designs for you to choose from. Its a pretty easy process and a lot of people along the way to offer help. The new trend has been custom practice wear to help stand out at competitions while walking around and even for Worlds!
