But not all piercings are sharp either and they don't hinder you to see ...Well, hoods can't tear through skin.
Yes, they aren't the most practical choice, but at least their not sharp.

Well with piercings though you could somehow get it ripped out of your ear/belly button even if it's just a little not sharp ball so I see why they aren't allowed. But not all piercings are sharp either and they don't hinder you to see ...
Very true! I've seen piercings get ripped out but I find it ridiculous that it would be allowed and wouldn't get some sort of safety violation because it is for sure dangerous.Well with piercings though you could somehow get it ripped out of your ear/belly button even if it's just a little not sharp ball so I see why they aren't allowed.
I don't get the hoods though. If they were tucked in and pulled out for the dance then maybe, just maybe. But since they weren't...what's the point?

Uniqueness, I guess. I feel like they missed the mark.Well with piercings though you could somehow get it ripped out of your ear/belly button even if it's just a little not sharp ball so I see why they aren't allowed.

What can go wrong with the hoods? They don't seem long enough to really do any harm.Very true! I've seen piercings get ripped out but I find it ridiculous that it would be allowed and wouldn't get some sort of safety violation because it is for sure dangerous.
I didn't mean piercings was a silly rule. Just that if piercings can't be allowed then it's silly to allow a hood on a uniform when so many things can go wrong with it.
Haha: Famous last words. What can go wrong with the hoods? They don't seem long enough to really do any harm.
LMAO! This actually made me laugh out loud.Haha: Famous last words.
Sorry if it was a stupid question... :( Just couldn't think of anything that could go wrongHaha: Famous last words.
They did pull them out for the dance. Not all the girls did but the boys definitely did in the video in the other thread. I don't think it added anything to the dance but I saw them pulling them out.Well with piercings though you could somehow get it ripped out of your ear/belly button even if it's just a little not sharp ball so I see why they aren't allowed.

Not stupid at all LOL! This is one of those scenarios in which using your paranoid imagination works best.Sorry if it was a stupid question... :( Just couldn't think of anything that could go wrong
yes at return to atlantis this weekend, but somehow there is zero video evidence of that
ETA: here's a basket soI guess they're real https://twitter.com/JackKidney1/status/693611378171600896
I agree. According to twitter they competed about 4 hours ago and no video except some kick doubles have surfaces.
I am reminded of the Incredibles and the "no capes" conversation........What can go wrong with the hoods? They don't seem long enough to really do any harm.
