I am sorry but you are the one that said that consumer choice should dictate and not rules... so I am asking you what is the limit? And perhaps you should look up the definition of provocative : tending to provoke or stimulate: certainly that is what these teams are doing, as it is clear as these girls try to tug down these tiny pieces of fabric to cover what is covered that when they get mega small they do not assist but can rather deter tumbling and other athletic skills. I would say it is not my alarmist attitude but rather the attitude of parents who feel that dressing their young girls in less material and more makeup than many a Vegas show girl is the problem..... I just took your argument of consumer choice and am sincerely asking you .. who said that this rule "limits"... then where would you make a limit ? It has occurred in dance -- people using the name or art and performance as an excuse to dress young girls in next to nothing. And if you do not think that some of these uniforms in cheer are not provocative then perhaps you should take a good look around at what is occurring with uniforms now -- many have less fabric than an average swim suit... so when does it become to much? You don't think that some parents won't just stick with a gym because it is close, the like their coach, they only were the uniform once in a while, or countless of other excuses to make it all right to take it to the next level as their consumer choice. Should the rest of the sport look like they condone this simply because of consumer choice? Really I am not trying to argue with you as much as have a dialogue..... what is too much? You think the rules are limits so I would sincerely like to know do you have a limit?
