I guess it's not something I've been told, but someone I talked to was once very shocked to learn there are straight men that cheer... then again, who isn't?

One of my friends did some canoodling with a male cheerleader at NCA College Nationals...when I was retelling the story my gay friend was confused and asked, "Was she trying to turn him straight?"
Uh...nope...I think at least 50% of male NCA College cheerleaders are straight.

i had a girl ask how competitions work.. she thought there was a football team playing the whole time while cheerleaders cheered on both sides of the field and whoever cheered the best won. I understand confusion but I thought that was unbelievable..

A boy in my english class on the football team told me all the cheerleaders at my school were fat, including me.
I just smiled, because my boyfriend kicked his butt at football practice that day and because that boy was dating a cow. :cow:

My response is usually along the lines of "ARE YOU DUMB" with some obscenities thrown in.

A co worker told me I was lucky my girls only did cheer since it is cheap & you just have to pay for their cheer "costume".
I told her No, it is expensive & it is a cheer uniform!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahahahaha cheap. whenever i tell my friends how much it cost to cheer they look at me like im crazy

one of my boyfriends said "cheerleading is so pointless. i dont understand why you're at the gym over 20 hours a week, all you do is run around and say go team go! you need to quit taking it so seriously, and spend more time with me." needless to say, we aren't dating anymore. :chestbump:

i was told that if cheerleading was a sport so is making sandwhiches.

my friend was talking to a guy and he said what do you like to do and she said cheer. how about you? he said party..so basically the same thing
