There are proposals to change sr open 5 tumbling.

I think, to make it simple to follow,
Fulls must have a back handspring entry and no tumbling after a full.

There is also the proposal to limit level 4 stunts

If that were to pass, I would think that Sr Open 5 should follow current level 4 stunts.

and it should get a new name while we're making changes

No Kidding! Any suggestions?

5.4, or depending on the skills rules changes it can be 4.5, 5.2, or 4.4

Sorry I disagree. If open 5 is twisting they should be allowed to stay level 5 stunting. Heck Some level 5 (not open) only have a few doubles on there and way more fulls and get to do level 5 stunting.

i dislike the name "open"
It does not make sense
Open is college age
I find it to be confusing unless you are very "in to" all star cheerleading

that is sooo true, took me a while to figure it out, and i am "into" all star cheer lol

Only change the standing tumbling part please, why mess with running and stunts! I know pop warner and high school teams that can stunt level 5 jeeessssssssssssus!

I think I like this idea. If senior open 5 is really supposed to be a true bridge from level 4 to level 5 than maybe there shouldn't be that extreme gap in stunting. I'm not saying that open 5 should follow level 4 rules, but maybe there could be a compromise between level 4 stunting rules and level 5 stunting rules to create the senior open 5 stunting rules.

Wasn't the reason for open 5 in the first place for the teams that have the level 5 stunting abilities, but aren't quite at the worlds level tumbling caliber? I think stunts should stay the way they are. Just please eliminate standing fulls and make it so fulls must be out of a bhs entry.

I think bringing the level of stunting down to level 4 would defeat the purpose of open 5. It should stay the same. I like the tumbling changes they're making though.

Amen

I think the reason for wanting to revise current sr open 5 stunts has to do with some of the proposals to change level 4 stunts. But I am not sure. Can anyone clarify?
