All-Star Uca 2016

Does UCA only break down the Division 1 and 2 by athlete size. I was hoping it was by gym size but I'm guessing that is not the case.

I'm fairly certain the teams were broken down by gym size so there's a bit of parity.

WHY OH WHY do any teams have to go at 8 am on time change weekend??? I can guarantee our team, which is traveling from the west coast and already losing 3 hours of sleep will be the team that goes at 8 am on Sunday..... hopefully since now Starbucks is everywhere on Disney property, they will have Starbucks aid stations where you can just hook up to a coffee IV to get through the day :help:

Thanks for this, I didn't realize it was a time change weekend. And we will be springing forward and losing an hour. Great.

Starbucks also sells powdered versions of their Refresher drinks, so dumping one of those into a water bottle could be a decent backup plan if the lines are stupidly long.

oh this will be happening! forget putting it in a water bottle though, I'm eating that thing like a pixie stick ;) LOL

I think it is to remind the judges that they can only do restricted skills. I know there were issues with score sheets last season- Y5 being told to throw more doubles, etc... [emoji15][emoji15]

My understanding is that they had to go back and rejudge the entire division at at least 2 major comps last year. I only saw our score sheets, but i assume it happened across the division. But it makes you doubt the judges ability when you see teams being asked to throw skills that are outside of their area. And if we had thrown them, would we have gotten a legality deduction?

Soo what happens if for some reason they don't get a bid? Do they plan on just going back to large since they can't use their bid in large for the medium division? Just pick a division lol, why keep going back and forth?

Question - do they still hold their medium bid? I know when teams upgrade their bid gets passed down, but if they get a bid in a different division do they get to keep the other because *technically* it's a different team? so, in theory, they could choose to compete in either division? Or no because they would have had to already pay a deposit for both bids?

Do they have a bid in medium? I know they have one in large. Either way, that's a good question, I'm not sure.
I'm thinking that if they get a bid in medium, the large bid will just go unused, but I don't know if they would then have to pay the deposit twice.
