All-Star Uniforms

This IS already a rule in Sweden, has always been. I think it's a good rule, cus the purpose of competing shouldn't be showing your stomach. Or to be sexy. It should be to show of your skills, and your skills are fierce no matter if you show some skin or not.
i don't think its a bad idea, it would just mean new uniforms for everyone! varsity and GK would love it im sure, forcing everyone to buy new uniforms

GK has a new bra, that is virtually invisible from the back, so you don't have to sacrifice their creative backs.

I really love the newer style of uniforms. That being said....I think they have gone too far in many instances. They keep getting smaller and showing more. 1st, it's not flattering on all body types. 2nd, I think young girls should be covered. Obviously it doesn't bother me that much since my cp has a crop top style uniform, but I would much rather see her in a full top! The saying "Less is more" is not meant for every situation.

no i thi
does anyone agree that the new uniforms are getting alittle too skimpy like its one thing to have cuts in the design but another to like not even have sleeves or anything
no i think they are fine... I mean look at some dancers... they are just the same... we r performer and the uniforms are just apart of the package

Yes, ofcourse it would mean costs for alot of teams. But most teams seems to switch every two years anyway, so maybe set a deadline further on when everyone has to have switched.
(sorry if this is bad english)

IMO a uni should highlight a movement, stunt, etc. We hear a lot about unis with white underneath the arms - looks great in a high V, right?
I haven't seen any teams with tinys, minis or youth in questionable half-tops. And if a half-top uni isn't flattering for a cheerleader's body type, then a skin-tight full top probably isn't going to be much more flattering.

Why don't we just put the guys in half tops and spankies too?! LOL! No, really...it's about self respect and respect for the sport. I don't mind half tops on the older cheerleaders, but the minis should be covered more for sure! I agree with the other posters who said that people may find it easier to respect cheerleading if we respected our bodies enough to cover them to a level that is appropriate. Now, I'm not saying everyone should dress like my mom did when she cheered in the 50's, but a uniform that doesn't need to be tugged on during a comp can still be super cute! I'm just sayin'...:D
