OT Vacation Spot

I love Captiva in Florida, it's so much fun I've been there about 20 times :D.

I went to Sanibel for spring break at the beginning of May and we spent a day at one of the beaches on Captiva and both islands are AMAZING. I honestly want to live there one day.

I love going to California to see family. San Francisco is a fun place :) Pier 39 is always a blast. We're going back this august for my grandpa's birthday.

We don't vacation much but in 3rd grade we went to Maui and I loved it!! There were even penguins in the hotel lobby!!

Then there's the standard Orlando trip with school (although we didn't get to go this year :( ) or my Nana taking my mom and I shopping at the Mall at Millennium :) My Nana also took me to Paris, France for my 13th birthday and I loved it!!

What do you mean there isn't airfare to somewhere exotic? Haha
A lot of places don't have airports, it's what makes them so private and whatnot. Like the Florida Keys-you have to drive like 2 hours from the airport to get there, and thats still in the US

I wanna go on a cruise so bad but I wanna go to Atlantis the most. If anyone ever took me there, I would love you FOR LIFE. :D But I agree, I basically just want somewhere with clear water.

Atlantis is overrated unless you can gamble. But the clear glass waterslide with the sharks is fun!

It just looks like a normal beach... am I missing something? :p

Not really, just the same places over and over again :P The mall at millennium is HUGE!! Make sure you wear shoes that won't hurt your feet if you walk around all day in them. The Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters are TO DIE FOR!!
Paris was SOOOOOOOOO much fun!! I just wish it didn't rain some of the time :/

@oveecheer Atlantis is fun, but it's moslty casinos. It's beautiful and all, but unless your 21 there's not much to do. If your going somewhere in the caribean, I wouldn't do atlantis. JMO though!

So I just googled Captiva and went to this site http://www.captivaisland.com/
It just looks like a normal beach... am I missing something? :p

Its just such a beautiful island, is the most famous shelling beach in the world, has tons of great shops and restaurants and is just so quaint and relaxing. Sanibel and Captiva are connected so you can go back and forth. I have stayed at both, and its hard to choose which ones better. Sanibel has more restaurants but is alittle quieter. If you stay in the right section of Captiva you can walk to alot of fun places.

This is somewhat true...I am 18 and still had fun though :) I don't really drink, but believe it or not I got a margarita no problem there. I went to Nassau on a cruise last year and there is definitely a ton of fun things to do aside from casinos/drinking. I have younger siblings who enjoyed our visit to the Bahamas. I think our only complaint is that it was VERY hot and we had some bipolar weather, but other than that it was so much fun!

We have been to the Bahamas (beautiful but not much to do really on the Island, we got bored) and spent a day at Atlantis (which we would stay there again in a flash, with our kids, we loved it and didn't gamble at all lol If Atlantis was in Mexico we would buy a timeshare lol) We wouldn't return there unless we had been everywhere else we want to go first. We had weird weather too, it was strange. Had always wanted to go there but was kinda let down I guess?

We looooove Mexico, we have been 5 times to different areas. And keep going back over and over! We find soooo much to do off resort, but the resorts are awesome to stay on as well. And Mexico is sooo affordable. Cancun has the water and beaches that I love but the beaches (most of them) are getting smaller and smaller :(

We have been to London England about 4 times. It is So expensive but simply amazing. Everything about it. 4 times is not enough to see everything we want to see. We usually stay with family, but you can get really affordable hotels if you look hard enough, and do a lot of walking. Summer is NOT the affordable time to go though, fall for sure.

We love Florida too!!

I really want to go to new tropical places, but we always end up heading back to Mexico lol

Hawaiiiiii! Love it! But it takes so long! It's on the other side of the world for me! Haha.

In Europe there are so many nice places! Italy, Greece, Spain and such is of course beautiful but I love cities like Copenhagen, London, Helsinki and Stockholm. I always wanted to go to Barcelona too!

My next trip is probably London in a month!

I agree! We go to Mexico almost every year....best deal going. We always stay all inclusive. We love to go to Xplor and to Xcaret.... both are in Yucattan Peninsula near Cancun. Xplor has the largest ropes course I have ever seen as well as cave swimming with bats really cool! Xcaret is a natural park with a mayan theme park field lol.
I have spent the day at the Atlantis a few times and would love to go with the kids but it is very exspensive compared to what you get for your dollar in Mexico.

I feel sheltered lol I haven't been anywhere special for vacation. My only big vacations I've ever been too are Disney in Florida and Virginia beach! haha you all beat me!
