All-Star Varsity Competition Sites

Why is Varsity taking over all competition sites? It’s so frustrating! I’m trying to find previous years scores/placements and the new sites just don’t have that info. The sites are lacking other info too.

I hate it too. Some of the old sites had lots of information. Aloha is one, they used to even post scores the night of day 1. Now it's a generic Varsity site.

You might have to look at Varsity's site through Google with the site and filetype search terms. They have a bunch of old results on their site but no external links to them. But they're there. (That's how I find things on USASF's site because they're equally less-than-accessible...)

Spirit of Hope in particular, I wanted to look at the results from last year. Previous to their merge with Varsity the info was there, as late as August.

My mind was seriously blown and I was immediately disappointed that I’ve never thought about it!

I've had luck before on the wayback machine. I've gone back and looked at the varsity site from the early 2000's, like this old random version - Wayback Machine .It archives websites from the past. If you remember the web address you may be able to pull it up the last archived version of the site

I noticed a lot of what I called "wiping" starting probably 2 years ago. EP's just wiping clean their records of past years. Anything that I wanted to see later I printed out directly. Screenshots are a great alternative for people with better eyes than I have LOL.

This directly relates to my issue of EP's not giving scores and/or schedules ahead of time. I am a stats person and I like to know data. Imagine another sport just erasing previous years data.

I was just trying to find schedules for the events this weekend. So frustrating. They have zero up for the UCA comps that are this weekend. Literally 5 minutes ago I commented to my cp that I did not like the way Varsity was maintaining the comp info this year.

I just google the old comps with the years and can usually find them that way. That's how I found an old JamFest competition scores...

Mid South regionals still doesn’t have results up, even though later UCA comps do.
