Ok. Well my issue with the word cheerleaders. It is way too broad
I don't do the same thing as a dallas cowboy cheerleader.
Do you think professional organization cheerleaders help add to the stereotype?

Exactly. I think there are too many ppl hung up on the idea of changing it. Especially to some ambiguous term. Which serves no purpose other than to separate ourselves from sideline cheering. It still boils down to education!Say the name ever gets changed... how would we explain to everyday people what we do briefly?
Do we say "oh its like a mix between gymnastics, acrobatics, and dance" people might say it almost sounds like cheerleading...
or do we say, "its like cheerleading but competitive and more athletic"
I feel like there is almost no way to get away from the word cheerleading
