Amen! I had to send a nice little email to my cp's Director of Middle Schools yesterday when I found out that in a county with 12 middle schools and 12 cheerleading squads NONE are required to have ANY athletic coach with CPR, First Aid or any other certification or training!
My cp wants to cheer for her middle school - no idea why as she can't use 90% of her skills there - but I cannot, in good conscience place my child in the hands of an un-trained coach.
