I totally respect that. It’s definitely great to see smaller gyms globing but personally I just think if they were going to stick to the concept of an “only smaller gyms are allowed” the Extra Small division should have stayed as it was the first year, and they wouldn’t have needed another 4 divisions. If the argument for more divisions is a must, it probably should have been large and small splits in Non-Tumbling.
My daughters small unknown gym brought home the first globe in their state, so proud!!! Personally as a small gym, that division is not needed…….

Saw a comment that said, how do you not award gold to a team who hit so hard they were crying during their pyramid?

🙄
I saw the same comment! All I could do was shake my head.

The main comment I saw repeatedly was how senior elite was robbed because it was a certain athletes last year and it’s not fair that she never won worlds

It was for an OOB that apparently didn’t even happen.
If you look at the angle it did. Her left foot was completely off the mat, her right foot on - if she would have kept her right foot planted on the red no out of bounds BUT and she shifted her weight to her left foot that was off the floor and lifted the foot on the red to take a step back on the mat. As soon as she lifted the foot on the red, her only 'touching' foot was OOB making her out. It's not a traditional OOB where someone completely clears the floor with their whole body but without one body part in contact with the mat it is an OOB per definition.

I have zero beef in LAG, whoever wins wins but even without the OOB and watching all routines in person Orange's routine composition, difficulty and technique very much was at a higher level.

I haven't been on this board in YEARS but PEOPLE. My kiddo who told me at 13 years old that when she graduated from high school she was going to move to Miami and win worlds with TGLC and I just giggled and said SURE - ACTUALLY DID IT!!! What a year for TGLC, absolutely unbelievable AND she moves home for school this month. I'm giddy.

Seriously? That’s impressive.

Spouse: Do you remember the last time the cat went to the vet? Hey when was the last time child’s name went to the dentist?

Me: I don’t know.

Things I can remember:

“One more time” At the appropriate point in the routine.

“Can I get an Amen? congregation bow your head.”

“Who wanna step to the baddest? Who wanna step to the the chicks?” (Hand/arm motions)

“Hooray for Hollywood”

“Give it to me again cause I’m the reigning champ”

“When I walk in with my robe on I’ll be the baddest in the ring.” (Arms)

“Woah it’s smo”

“Rock em. Shock em.”

“Shark dinner!”

“In this corner needing no introduction.”

If only I had this kind of memory in my regular life I would be unstoppable.
