I have a question about the tentative schedule. It says that all the International teams have to go through Trials and Prelims on Saturday, what does "trials" mean?
Is there anyone out there (possibly Acedad??) that could explain why the jr. division would need to go to trials, then prelims? It seems a little bit crazy with only 6 All girl jr teams. I don't recall ever doing that, even when we had 24 in our div. Will there be some sort of scoring criteria to get past trials? Seems like prelims to cut 3 of the 6 would be easier and make more sense. Someone mentioned you qualify at trials, didn't jrs. already do that through the video process in the beginning? Thankyou for any insight into this!
I'm not sure why, but I kind of like it. It's like a practice run through for all the teams, which I would hope will help them in the actual prelims. They will get to experience warm-ups and actually compete on the floor where they will have prelims so they will know what to expect! Think of it as a showcase!
I'm confused. So are junior trials just for the U.S. junior teams? And then they all go on to compete in prelimins? I agree that it's nice for them to have a practice/warmup. I would like it too. But it doesn't seem to make any sense whatsoever.
