Seriously hoping for Viktoria Komova to come back for 2016.
Same for Wieber, Mustafina, Ross and Maroney - but especially for Komova.

Either way, I think Aly will want to try to come back and win the AA finals but I can't be too sure. I just don't want this generation of girls to die out like the last ones did. It was pretty sad seeing Shawn, Nastia and Alicia make the decision to not continue.

It happens to the best of us...we get older and our eyes turn to new opportunities. There is a new Gabby, Nastia and Shawn waiting in the wings. In fact there is this awesome junior national champion who JUST missed the cut-off by 3 or 4 days. I think Kyla Ross and Sarah Finnigan will also be back.

The Fab 5 might indeed make a comeback but sometimes fame has a way of getting in the way of that. Maybe we will see one of them on "Dancing With the Stars" :( Good news is they are on the younger side so it's possible they will return.

this is what is always shown as "cheerleading" in the uk... people are genuinely shocked to find out thats not what i coach!

oh my gosh how amazing was that? and were you sitting around anyone from the US?

Yes I was shocked about how many people from US there were! I was sat around lots of Americans in the all around finals and I was in a suite during team finals which a girl (not sure if it's her friend/cousin or whatever) knew Kyla Ross! I also met all around finalists-Ashleigh Brennan, Emily Little, Dominique Pegg and Giulia Steingruber.

Swimming is officially over :( Congrats to Michael Phelps on his 22nd Olympic medal - twice as many as any other Olympic athletic has ever earned. And his last one as a gold in the 4x100 Medley relay, so perfect.

So proud to be British right now! We're a teeny little island and are currently third in the medal table behind powerhouses USA and China! 6 golds today! Big shout out to Mo Farrah, Jess Ennis and greg rutherford who won their medals pretty much back to back! And to the womens cycling team - one of whom went to my school!

I would love to see Katelyn Ohashi, Lexie Priessman, and Sarah Finnegan on the next Olympic team. Hopefully Kyla will come back because she's still really young and has lots of potential to get even better.

Yes Lexie Priessman she is the one that just missed the Olympics by days...and she is absolutely awesome. Now if they could all just stay healthy for the next 4 years!

This sparks a question... I just looked up Lexie's birthday which is January of 1997. How did Katie Ledecky compete (800m freestyle swim) if her birthday is March of 1997? Does the 16 within the Olympic year only apply to gymnastics?
