I refuse to get excited about BSB. I can't set myself up for the potential heartbreak again.

But oh my goodness that looks awesome. If they have all five groups doing that?! Holy
Moly.

Here's the thing... regardless of the heartbreak (still in therapy from this past World's pyramid snafu), they DO put a great routine on the floor year after year after year. I'm trying to get past the idea of winning and that it truly isn't everything. Especially when it only comes down to one day of one competition, worlds or otherwise.

If Worlds were cancelled this year, Brandon would've had a FLAWLESS season. I'm just going to keep telling myself that. :)

I wouldn't have cared that they got second, third or last. As long as they hit. I just want them to hit that routine, the way they do all season long, in finals, because they haven't been able to for the last several years because of stupid mistakes.

It isn't about them winning. It's about them not having the stupid mistakes that are most definitely flukes--ie, tripping while walking and bringing down a prep during (arguably) one of their strongest parts of the routine that is usually the most solid.

Granted, I don't see difficulty in this particular element but I do see something innovative. I see something that's gonna boost overall impression and creativity. This is the equivalent to Peaches' straddle down's.

I also love how Beatles kinda 'retaliated' with that video. Competition is definitely brewing. Can't wait to see these routines! <3

OMG BSB!! I am so rooting for them this season!! Hopefuly they can pull it of at worlds too. (i remember me yelling when the pyramide so my neighbours thought i had hurt myself...)

I'm calling it now. I'd still prefer BSB's despite their soon-to-be-revealed elite stunts having similarities with Beatles'.

I'm so excited to see BSB's new routine that I can barely wait. Can it just please be showcase season already??

wait.. you don't see the difficulty in a double up from the ground?.. think of how much they have to push that up....

and as for Beatles, I've thought about this and it was probably a smart move. clearly both teams have been working this stunt for a while, BSB releases a video of theirs, if Beatles wait any longer everyone is going to claim they copied (they released theirs like an hour later and people already think that.. as if they were just waiting in the gym.. saw the video.. immediately copied and got them all to hit perfectly in just over an hour...)

From what I understand, Jose Gonzalez (coach of OO5, who has choreographed Beatles' routine for a number of years now) had choreographed Beatles routine weeks back... so I don't understand how people can think that any "copying" was going on.

Its one of those moments when people think that just because team A released a video first compared to team B already means team B is the one copying. Like, NO. Its not as if both teams have spy cams on each other's gyms. And it takes time to hit elite skills. Both teams are just trying to be innovative and it just so happened that they were working on the same thing.

This is why I dont let my team upload videos of stunts we are working on.. or even brainstorming.

Im getting tired of everything having to be an arguement or turning into an argument. I know I know welcome to the boards but Ive actually been on here for a while and I know its inevitable but yeah its tiring.

Both teams execute it very nicely.. Theres no sense in arguing about it. Whoever thought of it first well good for them but what its gonna come down is is who COMPETES it better and hits their routine.

There really is no such thing as copying in cheer.

There are only so many combinations of ways to get people into the air, folks.

I have to disagree with that one, because I think that there is such a thing as copying in cheer, but people confuse what copying really is.

When another team also has a double-up but then different transitions and maybe the same dismount (double down) - that's usually not copying, but when another team has exactly the same stunt sequence after they saw yours - that's probably copying.

When another team has maybe two or three of the same motions in the dance as you have - probably not copying. But when they have 2 or 3 8-counts of the same motions it is hard to believe in a coincidence.

People just need to learn the difference.
