I really hope one day the rules are you must be on the team your age falls into. Like no 10yr olds on junior teams no 12 yr olds on seniors teams ect.. if your a junior age compete junior age , and only 16 and up on senior teams. (wishfull thinking I guess)
But what about smaller gyms? My daughter is 10 and at her gym if that were the rule she'd be forced to be on a Youth 1 with:
standing back
jumps to BHS tuck
standing 2,3 to tuck
standing BHS step out RO2BHS to tuck
just about every running specialty through to tuck and working ROBHSLO
I hear you with there being rules for senior teams...I myself hate seeing 10 year olds on them but if the kid has the skills and there isn't another team for them where do they go?
YES I AGREE!!! I think it would really help with defining who is the best of each level in each age group..It might be unpopular but maybe not having age grids that overlap and kids having to stay within that age group until they age out would be a solution.
for your situation there are many gyms with youth level 4 teams, where as it is soo hard to find a junior team that has true junior age girls13,14,15 , I guess i look at it like just because I can drive my moms car and know how to now, doesnt mean the state should allow me to.
Not sure where you live LOL but where we are there is not another gym within at least 60 miles that has a youth level 4 team....for your situation there are many gyms with youth level 4 teams, where as it is soo hard to find a junior team that has true junior age girls13,14,15 , I guess i look at it like just because I can drive my moms car and know how to now, doesnt mean the state should allow me to.
