This tiny skinny little thing on floor makes me nervous with such big passes. I feel like her legs are so skinny they're going to snap.

I was just thinking that. It seems all of the Chinese gymnastics lack the muscle tone I see on everyone else. Idk.

Chinese gymnasts all wear socks during their events. Any gymnasts/former gymnasts, what does socks do? Is it just a comfort/personal thing?

Some of the girls I used to do gymnastics wore those. They aren't actually socks, but almost like ballet slippers. We always called them "beam shoes" because that's all they wore them on but I've seen people wear them on the other events. I think they basically help grip/sweat like chalk would.
I could be wrong because it's been 14 years since I did gymnastics. And I stopped when I was 11 and never wore them myself lol
