Is it easier to do a backhand spring on spring floor or dead mat???

I learnt FlicFlac whil doing another sports (mix of gymnastics and cheerleading)... I have learnt doing it on a rolling mat (deadfloor) with standard gym mats underneath for shock absorption - same time it is not that bouncy so you still had to "jump" through your shoulder more.

I have never tried on deadfloor-only cause mentally it just feels hard to handle. On competition I found it usefull not to require assist by a bouncy floor and made me save some energy - was exercising my front flips the same way but had to readjust more on bouncy floor regarding landing.
