I'm not even part of the "TEAL ARMY," but I just shimmied the poop out of so many posts on every page of this thread.

Also, to go along with the ceremonial team placement event, my first thought was is this awkward for people who aren't religious? I can only imagine how weird it is to be Jewish and telling your mom in order to receive your team packet you need to go to a (what I'm assuming is) Catholic Church. Just a thought.

The church was merely a place that was able to offer such a large space in such a short period of notice. The ceremony had nothing to do w/religion. I'm agnostic, so trust me..it def wasn't a religious ceremony. Since the church did lend us their place, one of their members (probably a pastor or deacon) said a short prayer, but if we had been able to meet in a school or somewhere else large enough is such short notice, that aspect would have been absent.

So from the perspective of a person who is non-religious, it wasn't awkward.
