Ooh, that sounds good. I live in London so I should be able to find one somewhere! What sort of gel do use? When I was shopping I remembered (I think it was you) posting in another thread about using gel for curlformers and there were roughly 56,384 different sorts... Also, does the gel make the curlformers really dirty- can you just stick them in water to rinse them?

Lol! You're sweet :) I have found that pretty much any gel works and I have used many. A strong hold gel no matter how cheap should do fine. If you feel like they're getting a little icky you can certainly wash em up. No harm. Warm water and a little soap in the sink. PS - I don't mind your questions!

I use small sections, I hairspray the piece, wrap it around the wand and hold it for 20-30 seconds. Try that and see if it helps! :)

Has anyone ever used the "Herstyler 3P Wand" Herstyler its cheaper on amazon....thinking bout buying but want to know thoughts first!

I got the herstyler wand with the straightener and I LOVE IT!
That's what wand I used to do the curls I posted a few pages back.

My friend who loved my herstyler bought the 3p one off eBay (she just got it in the mail yesterday) and she was so happy to see it came with the 3 different size wands to attach to it and she used it last night and it worked fabulous! (The middle sized one it comes with was the one that is the size of my wand and I think that's the perfect size)


So yes I highly recommend it!!

I got my straightener and wand set off of groupon back in December and I love both items!!! I do wish it had the 3 wand attachments back then but I still love it!!

I bought the "Plugged In Mini Reverse Cone Curling Wand" from Sally Beauty Supply and I have to say I am in LOVE. It was only $18.99 and curls my hard-to-curl hair SO well. The curls look so natural and bouncy. I think it would be great for cheer curls for anyone looking for an affordable curling wand option. It comes with a little heat protecting glove thing that goes over your finger tips, but I've been just fine without it.

It also comes in a normal cone option for I want to say $22.99 if you don't like the reverse cone thing.

When it comes to using curlformers how long do you leave them in for? I slept with them in and my hair was to my chin :(

You have to take them out early and give them some time to relax and drop. My cp has always slept in them as well but TwistedLady uses the hair bonnet to dry them fast. I love the way curlformers curl cp's hair but I think I am going to try the gel and hair bonnet trick next time we need curls so she doesn't need to sleep in them.
