The solution isn't that complicated guys, just have all new World's unis be modelled after this bad boy:

Protective, affordable, looks great on all body types. Plus it's bra friendly and has no crazy cut outs. What's not to love? Throw a bow on that head and slip some Nfinities on over the feet and boom. Good to go to World's.

There is absolutely no where in the USASF guidelines that says you can't wear this on the mat.

Our gym was mandated to close until April 30th.....how to practice to get up to top potential, how to get stamina again.......hate to say it but I feel we just need to be declare season done and look forward to next year. Yes I know many don’t have a next year....but neither do many college athletes, or HS athletes either. Sr proms and graduations will not happen either! So sad this is happening!

Exactly. Cheerleaders aren’t the only ones suffering. It all really sucks.

YES.

Other sports have it a lot easier than cheer in this aspect.

Basketball players can to go to an empty park and shoot around to maintain stamina. Or play pick up with one person.

You can go out in the yard and hit balls to keep in shape for softball.

If you have a net and a friend you can keep up on tennis and volleyball.

There is no real way for a cheerleader to maintain cheer skills long-term outside the gym.

Not only do you NEED a group to stunt with in cheer BUT the only safe place to tumble is closed. That and if you've ever retired from it or taken a break, you know that your tumbling is "use it or lose it." You could airtrack at home but I found that home airtrack/trampoline tumbling over long periods just makes bad habits.

Same for your flexibility. My HS kids lost significant flex over just 10 days of Christmas break if they did no stretching.

It DOES make more sense financially for them to try.

Cancellations = refunds, at least partially, right?

Also, this pushes Summit/Worlds into July?

There are families losing incomes, people dying at alarming rates in first world countries, world governments struggling to take back control of their economies and public safety and Varsity really thinks people care about the cheer season anymore? The world is in arguably one of the biggest crises since the world wars. Give me a break. I have no words that describle the level of disgust I'm feeling right now.
