My first competition is November 2nd. It's my first comp every, because it's my first year in All-star Cheer. In my opinion I think I fit in with my team and do pretty well. What is some advice or essentials for comps? And if we loose would my team blame me? That's probably my biggest fear. Help???

This is why I have cp carry a can of mace. If the team blames him for a loss have discovered if you mace just one of the teammates everyone else quiets down.
Tazer. Tazers always silence.

@Alany F They shouldn't blame you, no matter what happens. The best thing you can do is be calm, be prepared, and do your best. You'll be fine! Good luck!

Why do we let you mix with the general public?

@Alany F Try to relax and be as prepared as you can be. First comps of the season are always nerve wracking, whether it's your first year or not. Make sure you have everything you need for "game day" - uniform, shoes, bow, makeup, spanx, etc.

And have fun with your team! Good luck. :)

Because my advice is good advice?

You team cannot blame any loss on one single person so just have fun and do your best.

The stage manager is me is coming out and I will give you a practical answer to what you physically need and leave the mental side of the questions to be answered by the athletes and smartasses ;)

Shoes, socks, spanx, uni top, uni bottom, bow. (If you are flying, put these in your carry on. NEVER CHECK THEM!), brace if you need one, cover up

Make up, bobby pins. hairspray, extra elastics, brush/comb, mirror, shout wipes, makeup remover

Extra socks, extra shoelaces, mini glue gun (I always carry one and you wouldn't believe how many times I have used it- usually for a broken bow)

bandaids, liquid bandaid, blister bandaid, tampon, tums, advil, icyhot

ipod and money, and whatever you use to calm your nerves- a book, stuffed animal, luck charm

ID/credentials

Advice just enjoy every moment I was in the same position last year. When you enjoy it and give your best there is nothing else you can do. Also bring athletic tape if you hurt something while at comp it is just easy to tape it. You moght get nervous just before you get on the mat but you forget about it when the music turns on
