Okay so recently I've realized that my flexibility is just plain awful..... like my heel stretch is non-exsistent. I don't think I'm going to be a flyer anytime soon but if a spot opens I would love to be able to take it. Do any of you have any tips on getting a heel stretch, scale and scorpion within 4-5 months. Thanks!!!

Stretch as much as you can. Stretch after you wake up, after school, and before you go to bed. when watching tv stretch, when there's nothing to do, stretch. Practice them too. Find how to's on YouTube and it will help. thats what i did(:

just practice the positions over and over and over again. and try holding them for as long as you can while keeping your balance. That's what I did when I was a flyer :)

stretch as much as possible, even if it is just a few minutes here and there a couple times a day.

try to have someone help you stretch and to pull body positions.

also try stretching in a doorway. sounds silly, but you have one side to hold on to for balance (if necessary) and one side to help pull your leg.

(i realize this is an extreme example, but just trying to give you a visual)

and just remember not to overdo it. take a day a week to rest. and never push yourself too hard. you definitely don't want to pull any muscles.

Like everyone said, just stretch as much as possible. i also find it helpful to take a hot shower and stretch right afterwards, that way you can stretch farther. Doing leg pulses (hold your leg out 90 degrees or higher and pulse it up and down about 4 inches) helps you hold your frontstretch/heel stretch once you have the flexibility too

I felt pain just looking at that.
