Deja Blue from Livermore!
It used to be a big well attended competition when it was held in December in the SF Bay Area. They moved it and changed the date and well... I'm not sure the low #s this year change the number of bids because of other years. I would imagine if low attendance continues... But next year they are in LA in December So I would guess attendance will be back up.How is this competition able to give 2 paid bids? Isn't there a requirement to have a certain number of teams attend in order to give bids?

I was thinking the same..... if there are only 11 eligible teams competing and 6 bids (2 full paid and 4 at large) to be given out, that means there'll be more teams leaving with a bid than without. How is this competition able to give 2 paid bids? We see that sometimes with Reach the Beach in OC. It is 2 weeks before Worlds.I was thinking the same..... if there are only 11 eligible teams competing and 6 bids (2 full paid and 4 at large) to be given out, that means there'll be more teams leaving with a bid than without.
I don't understand how these EPs are allowed to give out so many bids with so few teams attending, it's just so out of proportion. We see that sometimes with Reach the Beach in OC. It is 2 weeks before Worlds.
Anyone have any videos of the Coed R5 teams or maybe will have some? I would like to see what the west coast has going on before CP and I head to NCA next month. Never been before.
Agreed, but RTB is a fairly large competition for levels 1-5. There may not be many Worlds teams but I am pretty sure the number of bids an EP can give is based on the total number of teams at the prior year competition, not just Worlds teams. It may be this competition was much bigger last year. It will be interesting to see how many bids are available next year.We see that sometimes with Reach the Beach in OC. I refuse to call it that. It will forever be Cali i6 to me. It reminds me of junior high/high school when little cliques of girls would give themselves a name.Did everyone else have a really rough day, or were the other non-Cali performances really that underwhelming? I think there's only been videos of Sexy Six (still not a fan of that name), .

ETA: a team nickname is fine(BABS, ladies of teal, etc) but Sexy Six seems to be the name they've gone with.
