I have been retired from cheer for about two years and honestly i cant tell you the last time i tumbled or even did a cartwheel. I haven't been working out either. Before i retired, a backhandspring was second nature to me, as well as a standing tuck. Am i over thinking everything? I feel like Ive completely lost everything. Has this happened to you? Ive been looking into a new gym that opened up in my area and im 100% going for it! Im super nervous for my first tumbling private/practice.competetion
I was looking for some advice from people who have gotten back into cheer:
-How long did it take you to get your skills back?
-Did you work out when you weren't practicing?
-How did you get over your new found mental blocks from being out of cheer for so long?
thanks!
