I've been coaching for four years now, but I've never had to teach Intro. classes before up until recently. I feel as if I'm boring my students and I'm not sure how I can structure the class to be more fun while also very beneficial to learning their skills. Any ideas on how I can improve my Intro. class?

I have 9 girls in the class with two coaches. All these girls are working on their fwd/bwd rolls, Handstand, cartwheels, back bend, and kicking over in a backbend.

Anything u r working on turn into a contest, it will make them work harder! Do strength stuff, hold a plank longer, most/ better push-ups, etc

My CP did a class similar to that when she was in preschool - kindergarten. She was never bored. They always worked on tumbling, stunting, and motions. Her coaches would set up obstacle courses that would keep them busy and entertained, but still incorporated skills they needed. They loved their time on the tumble track. A reward at the end was letting them attempt to climb the rope to fall into the pit.

They also enjoyed being rewarded for a good class by an old fashioned game of Simon Says.
