Could someone please tell me how or why the outside pyramid groups move from 2:16-2:18 is legal? I love it but would hate to get an infraction just just checking! any help would be great, thank you :-)

It remains contact with the backspot at all times during the transition! Similar to if you were doing a "firework" and landing in a different group, backspot remains contact the entire time.
