Okay so I can do level 5 stunts and baskets but the gym I'm going to makes it required to have level 5 tumbling and just today I got my back tuck but I don't think I'll be able to do a layout or full in time for tryouts. What do I do!?!?

Kill it on a level 4 or restricted 5 team..

or work really really hard to get those skills (extra tumbling classes, private lessons). Maybe if you don't get the level 5 skills (like you get jumps to tuck and a layout) they coaches might see how strong of a work ethic you have and figure that you'll get your full before competition season and still place you on the level 5 team.

What tumbling skills do you currently have? Besides the back tuck you got today.

keep working on your tumbling! show them that you want to work and are working on tumbling skills. I'm not sure how your gym does things, but a lot of times people with good stunting skills at the level can still be placed on that team without the tumbling at the time. I was on a senior 4 team with zero tumbling, but I was always at tumbling trying to get my skills. Different teams need different pieces, so hopefully you will fit the puzzle!

Didn't you just post that you were trying to get your BHS? Don't rush it-- your gym is going to want proper technique, which you can't achieve by rushing your skills and "just chucking them." Go to tumbling and stunting classes and learn from proper instructors who can teach you everything you need to know.

Stick to your tumbling level and develop your other skills. Unless you're some super hero base or flyer then you would just bring down the teams tumbling quantity.
