hey guys !!
one of my certifieds has created a petition to get all youth athletes to have access to health care professionals. what this means is athletic trainers would be available for middle school and elementary school aged athletes. this is a big step for us, because the more groups of athletes we can integrate athletic trainers in , the more injuries we can prevent . ideally the goal is to continue adding groups to this list... club teams ... travel teams... CHEERLEADERS. so my goal of having athletic trainers in cheer gyms isn't so far away. however, we need your help. we need 100, 000 signatures by march 8th and still have a ways to go. please I'm asking for your help to make this happen. please sign our Petition !!

My best friend and 4 other girls in my sorority are athletic trainers. I'll sign and pass it along to them. Hopefully they can pass it around the USC ATEP program.

thank you!! the more you share, the closer we will get!

We have a certified athletic trainer in our gym. I have to say that it is one of the things I adore about our program. Our trainer is wonderful and is always available when we are at the gym. I don't know how she does it, but it seems that the second someone even looks like they might be hurt, she appears! I feel so much safer with my child at the gym now that she is there. I have heard many other parents say the same thing. Having a trainer at the gym is great. I hope every gym will do this if they can.

I've been seriously thinking about going back to school for my Athletic Training degree...

do it!!! it is such a great career choice (not that I'm biased or anything lol) and the job market is rapidly expanding, which is always a plus too.

I already have my RN so adding an AT degree would be really helpful in getting a job where I want to work (MLB). Or if Justin wants to hire me to be an AT for NCA...all over it...lol
