All-Star Most Recent Injury in Cheerleading, and How you did it.

we did an a-frame tossed up from the front and then she was supposed to flip forward and one of the middle flyers let go of her foot to early so she was thrown my way, got her shoulder right in my face and broke my nose. it was so painful, and it was two weeks before nationals, so i had do it with a broken nose, and the doctor said if i got hit again it could be like messed up forever, but it was fine, so i don't look like a retard, haha

i've also cracked my forehead open due to a flyer who couldn't really spin so she elbowed me in the forehead and i had to get 10 stitches, also painful!

a girl stuck out her hip in a stunt and landed on top of me. i sprained my neck and had to go to the hospital. NOT FUN. it took like 2 months to start anything and another month to be fully into it. it has spasms some times from shock. one of the worst injuries ive gotten

I currently have a fractured thumb along with a torn ligament (thumb)..believe it or not another girl on my college cheer team has this same injury now too..Mine was done by simply catching the top off from a 2-2-1 pyramid :( We had done the top off SO many times I can't even tell you, I mean it's in our competition routine! It was just a freak accident and my thumb got caught somewhere in the mix and it just sorta flopped and got forced straight down..I honestly didn't think it was broken or anything, but sure enough broken AND torn. I am so glad the trainer ended up making me go get an x-ray ha even though I was like um is that really necessary? Mind you, this was about two weeks prior to our conference comp. I had a cast for 2 weeks got it off so I could compete (just wrapped it) hah and I am a flyer soo yes, that has been an experience :) I now have another cast on for 2 weeks and since the first one I have been wrapping a t shirt around it so I don't take out my bases :) hah works pretty well, trying my best to not let it get the best of me!!

Tore my meniscus half way a month ago and 2 weeks ago I completely tore the rest of it. I will not be getting surgery till the end of the season if I can help it.

The most recent is .. When going for ro bhs full my thumb got caught under the tape in the roundoff.. Dislocated my thumb in two places.. Fractured in three and a hairline (so 4 all together).. AND tore my ucl ( ligament that keep thumb in place).. There was only a string holding it together.. They suggested surgery.. I suggested HELL NO.. Yup goin full out now in routines (mind u this happened in late October ..

All time worst.. Went full ro bhs tuck for my lvl 3 team I doubled on .. And the was a whole in floor at comp.. Broke once in bhs cause I couldn't get around in time.. It felt funny but my teammate told me to keep pushing.. Through ro ro ro tuck(as I was scared for bhs).. And heard a snap.. Stared at my arm.. It looked weird .. But kept pushing .. Through basket and that's when the pain came in.. Then did pyramid .. When I caught her( I'm a backspot) .. My flyer heard and felt a 3 crack... I pushed through the dance .. Wen music stopped I looked up..my wrist was bent not the right way ... My friend( who told me to push) saw it .. That was the only time I cried out of pain .. Broke my wrist in 3 did places.. The last almost all the way through.. Worst part cheersport was around the corner... I got that cast cut off to compete and still have chronic pain in my right wrist...

hmm. most recent injury? woo. lol um, i bruised my ribs and ripped the cartilage away from my chest bone doing baskets. nice clothes line catch does the trick lol
and i tore my patellar tendon awhile ago, and i got tendinitis from it, and now my patellar tracking is off and it makes my patellar and femur grind together. it feels lovely.

ohh you know college pyramids are super fun........i was a mid in an elevator and then i had a group infront of me in an elevator and then they tossed her up and she sat on my shoulers(shouldersit pyramid) well the group tossing her tossed her a little over my head and behind me i managed to resist it and put her in the shouldersit and then after everything was fine i was randomly dropped straight down and well ya know the 3 middle toes are shattered.....did this october 30th still in a cast prob still in one in januaryish and then prob getting surgery.....yay
