We are staying at the Fairmont in downtown. Looks like it is about 1/2 mile from the DART station. Anyone know is this a safe area to walk that to the station with my daughter?

I sure hope so I think using Dart would be so much easier than a car. I do NOT drive in ice or snow. I'm a Florida girl. It would absolutely give me a panic attack at the thought.

We are going to be flying in. I can get on Dart at airport as well???

We stayed at the Fairmont a few times. It's a fairly quick walk to the convention center. Maybe a 10-15 minute walk depending on the group size and if you have little ones to drag along. The area seemed safe to me during the daylight hours. I know a lot of people that used the DART from the airport to the hotel. Much cheaper than a taxi.

I sent mine in, staying with family, and it only took 3 days to get approval.

Is it safe to use the dart system at around 12am? Our flight arrives around 11:30 pm in Dallas and wanted to take the dart but not sure if it's safe to use that late. There is a station in front of our hotel but not sure where the dart station is at the airport, I mapped it and it says it should an hour and 20 minute to arrive to our hotel, should we just use Uber since it's so late?

I think so but I'm originally from NYC and I think the subway is safe at that time. You have to do what you are comfortable with.

Aww [emoji7] We aren't renting a car, can't drive on ice! $5 for an all day pass for Dart seems like such a good deal, my sister told me that the first time she used uber it was free, so I'm hoping that's true and I get a free ride to our hotel if we decide not to use the dart that day.
