Yeah that makes sense. Though Xscape (the one song that has been released/leaked) is very They Don't Really Care About Us (which I consider one of his best songs). My guess for that particular song would be not enough space on an album, or someone other than Michael, who held a bit more power, felt it shouldn't be on there.
I can't really reply to this right now (how I want to) because I'm currently hiding my car from my coworkers so I'll probably come back and edit.
But the Michael Album that came out after his death in 2010? Maybe? Whenever. That music wasn't Michael Jackson music. It was copy cat music. It was a poor mans version of what they thought Michael Jackson's music was. The themes of paranoia ie. "Everybody's watching the news for Micha-Jack-shun"....no. Just no. That isn't Real Michael Jackson at all. It was just copycat of how someone perceived how "They Don't really care about us " or "Tabloid Junkie" or those type of angry Michael songs were
It's weird but having known his music my entire life, I was able to just hear that album and feel that no, that's not real Michael. It's knock off music
Michael also expanded on themes from his music, he wouldn't make for release (I personally feel) multiple songs exploring the same themes
The quickest example I can think of (in my hot car) is "wanna be starting something" and "Billie Jean"
The Billie Jean woman is mentioned in both songs but in different ways...like expanding on Billie Jean
I just don't feel like Michael would make multiple songs (for release) with the same tone...themes....So he may have recorded them...maybe only as demos...but I really feel like they weren't intended for release (I also feel like part of the Michael album were voice dubs)
And we also know that if Michael Jackson really wanted a song on a album...it would have been on an album.
