All-Star New Uniforms 2011-2012

Our gym (we went back to our old gym from last season) wears them also for all teams. All the teams have the same crop top and shorts. But you're right - it doesn't seem like as many teams went to shorts as I thought last season.

I thought it was supposed to be the big trend, but most gyms are still in skirts. The event we were at this past weekend everyone was in skirts, lots with full tops. There was one other gym with shorts, and they had full tops. Honestly I almost felt a little scandalous letting CP run around in her uni ;)

I'm sort of glad it's NOT the big trend. I really prefer skirts. I DO really like ours because they're black, and properly fitted on all the girls (and I just love the whole uni - colors, right amount of sparkle, etc.)...but some of the shorts I've seen are definitely...um... :eek:


I just don't understand some of the unis I see. How do gym owners go so wrong? How do you look at some of these and think "Yep. That's the look I want to represent my whole program. Now bring me 300 of them." And where are these people's friends to say "No no no no no. NO." :confused:

Just thinking this past weekend at our comp..... I was trying to come up with the names of gyms besides ours that wear shorts and crop tops from the tiny teams on up through the older ones. The only other gym I could come up with, based on this thread, was Top Gun. It has become more apparent to me over the past few months that the uniform shorts aren't as common as I believed... any thoughts??

My gym has different uniforms for each team and I think 4 of 10?? teams wore shorts last year. Mini 1, Youth 3, Junior 4 and Senior 5 all had shorts. We had Varsity Ozone unis though and not GK so that may have made some sort of a difference.

there was a reaaaally small gym at a local comp a couple weeks ago in halftops and shorts
there was a girl that had black spandex on underneath her shorts and they covered a good 3 inches and STILL didnt cover her butt.

it was horrible


ETA: and their shorts were white and blue. and she had black spandex on. SMH

LOL! I think maybe they are trying to.... I don't know... I have nothing.... Do they possibly run out of time and just say "yep, go ahead, good enough?" Regarding everyone not objecting to the uniform in the design stage, it's probably a case of noone wanting to insult the owner by telling them that the uni needs some help.

SAY NO TO SWIRLY HORIZONTAL LINES ON THE BACKSIDE OF YOUR UNIFORM SKIRT/SHORTS. Please.

It does nothing for the posterior, except make it look really large.

UA also wears the same uniforms across the board, Tiny through Senior, but we have both shorts and skirts with our uniforms. Usually, it's one on day 1 and the other on day 2, but one day competitions they've worn the shorts more this year.

Yes. I will give them props. It appears as if every bow is situated on those little heads properly.

Southern, IL., I believe. Right around Carbondale. Pretty sure the gym is named after the "Snow" family (the owners of the gym).
