Also the price difference in a Rebel and a GK uniform is pretty steep. GK makes a good product but they can charge more because they are already an established brand people go to for the name.
Hi! I'm a Vice President at Rebel Athletic. Rebel's prices are significantly less than our competitors because our business model is different. We manufacture in a vertically integrated factory that we own offshore -- we control every aspect of production under one roof. We stock our own fabrics (developed specifically for Rebel) we cut, sew, embellish, applique and crystal our uniforms all under one roof. We pass our savings on to our customers and can offer much in terms of value. More crystals.. more intricacies, more cutouts and unique details... and our premium bodyflex fabric is the most high performance 4 way stretch fabric available in the market today. It has the best recovery (meaning when you stretch it out it goes right back to where it was without losing shape or elasticity) and is sweat-wicking, figure flattering (hides body imperfections), soft and ultra comfortable. We prototype everything for free so if anyone has any doubts just go through the artwork process and get a free prototype so you can experience it for yourself.
Rebels is more blingy. On rebels the skit band and end of top are covered in rhinestones while gk is just plain. This is also the same with many of the outlining of "lines". Overall gk is more "plain" then rebel is.

Correct.. Rebel originally designed and prototyped this uniform for MT, but as a gym whose owner had a long standing relationship with GK, they ended up taking our prototype to GK, who proceeded to create a simplified version of our Rebel Purple Label Collection design. The one they wore at 2014 Cheerleading Worlds was not the Rebel uniform, but is a simplified version of the Rebel design. MT not wearing Rebel wasn't at all about the design or the quality, it was about a gym owner not wanting to damage a long standing relationship with a uniform vendor. We have very loyal customers too so I can appreciate that. I do all the photography and marketing/ad design for Rebel. I photographed the Rebel version (featured in the ad) on Jamie Andries at the same photoshoot where I photographed Bianca Tregor in the Junglecats uniform before Worlds.
But in all honesty, I'd rather pay the steep difference for a GK uniform because of the quality and fit.
Have you seen Rebel's quality and fit firsthand? Rebel's premium bodyflex is the most high performance fabric available in the industry. We had it developed exclusively for us and it's something you have to feel and experience in person before you can comment on Rebel's quality. Many companies do their logos by just pressing crystals directly on the fabric. We applique and embroider our logos first, then press dense crystal fills on top. This is just one of the many ways we outshine the other products available in the industry. Our fit is incredible. We prototype EVERY uniform we make, and we fit every uniform we make on live models. That's how the fashion industry does it and that's how we do it too. I'm not going to say anything negative about the quality of any uniform company out there, but I will say that I firmly believe our quality and fit is the best available - and when you stack that up with the customer service our reps provide and the value of what you can get - it becomes obvious why we're the fastest growing uniform company in the industry.
Not really we are getting new uniforms from Rebel and they are $500.00. More than I have ever paid for a GK!

Are you a parent or a gym owner? We sell directly to gym owners and we don't have set pricing because everything we make is custom... but our uniforms (even our couture uniforms) are ALL less than $400. This is excluding the assessed retail cost of our worlds sponsorship uniforms (like Cheer Athletics Panthers or Georgia Allstars)
I thought that was denied above, but if so, doesn't Stingrays have ties to Varsity? Or maybe I'm getting this confused with their partnership with Nfinity.
I swear the Reign uniform was a GK catolog uniform from a couple years back! New and probably didnt break bank which is great.
No, it was designed by Kristen Ashworth from Rebel Athletic to be debuted at 2014 Worlds. Can you post the catalog uniform you're talking about?
