Genuinely miss the days of pretty GK uniforms, sad to have seen them die out because they always seemed to be amazing quality and looked nice as well. A lot of the uniforms produced now a days are just too questionable for me :(

I love skorts so much, I've been using them for 4 seasons now. I love the look of traditional skirt but I hate girls messing with their uniforms or when the skirt sits above their butt and you just see spankies half the routine. I love how you never touch shorts but I'm not a fan of uniform shorts they always seem to be to tight and short. So I get the best of both worlds with a skort look of a fitted skirt with none of the wardrobe malfunctions. What are the pros and cons of skorts? I'm about to start the design process and wanted some feedback athletes ages 4-17.
I've never had one myself but I filled in for a friend at another gym when I decided to take a break from cheering (she'd broken her toe at the time and the coach was a family friend of ours, hence why they called me in) and that one had GK uniforms. They are still to this day the best uniform I've had the opportunity to wear. No nonsense at all - they were plain, athletic and purely beautiful. My CP fav uniform was GK. Before the the glitter and cut out nonsense!!

Fashion is cyclical. I can see it.Looks really nice. Maybe in a couple of years the trend will reverse (or new rules will be put in for uniforms) and we'll go back to functional and cute.
If you still want the look of a full skirt lots of companies offer a "no slip skirt" or something similar, where the side seams of the skirt and spankies are sewn together. I have this in my uniform and haven't had any issues with it. just another option for your consideration :)Yes, this is the complete reason why I'm considering switching over! I'm just concerned about how the girls will respond teenage girls aren't always the easiest crowd to please but I am eliminating crotch snaps and full tops for seniors so they should all be my new best friend.

Hate them. My gym made the switch over from a skirt and I hated every second I was in it, they were white skorts so that's maybe what made them suck. With the skirt, if I was going to sit down on the floor or somewhere I wasn't sure was going to stain my skirt I would just pull up the back so I would be sitting on my black shorts rather than the white skirt and my skirt would rarely get dirty but with the skort... it was terrible. I had to keep a stain remover with me at all times and two day comps were the worst. I also hated the way they looked on me but maybe it's because they were white. As to the whole pulling down skirts and such, the skort obviously stayed in place but when I had a skirt it also stayed in place so it wasn't anything different to me. Also, I'm the type of person that wears shorts even if it comes with them inside and the skorts were just not a good match if you're like me. The shorts were obvious from the back as it showed like underwear lines except 10x worse unlike the skirt where the lines didn't show as much or barely at all. I obviously have strong feelings about them but if you do go with skorts... please don't go with white and choose a color that's more flattering on the athletes. What are the pros and cons of skorts? I was going to say the same thing. My CP has the same thing in her skirt and it literally never comes up.
