can't you just log out and never log back in? you should never post anything on the internet without keeping in mind that it will be there forever. you can't even delete a facebook page. only "deactivate" and you can log back in at any time and all of your photos/posts/etc. from your account's entire existence reappear. facebook doesn't offer you the option to delete your page at all, at least the boards do, albeit for a steep price.

or do as you say and give your login info to some crazies. then they'll just get banned anyway. your call ;) ETA @King beat me to that idea

What about an account that was started without permission? My daughter just pointed out to me the other day that someone (not her) opened an account with a picture of her and used her name on it? She was concerned and I tried to look up how to delete this account and couldn't find anything either.

Maybe I'm incorrect on this, but we don't "own" our accounts. The board "owns" it, and the board gets to have us buy it out, or not, as it sees fit. It's not illegal, nor embezzlement. Slow your roll, sparkle.

I can ban an account if we need, but not delete. Deleting creates more problems than it solves. If someone makes a fake account it is better we keep it on record and be able to reference back to the fake account in the future.
