i always thought that open teams werre only fulls (tumbling wise) but top guns so 5 has doubles don't they? just tell me the regulation things for open teams!!!!

What's the point of this level? Why would they name it a level 5 division when in all actuality it isn't?

It is a prep level....there are lots of kids who are working a full or other level 5 skills who can't quite qualify for a Worlds level 5 team...without this division...they are stuck doing layouts etc....for example...my 10 yr old has a full...not a double...has 3 jumps to a back....so this division is perfect for her...there are 16 yr olds on her team that are just getting their full that it is perfect for as well.....:)

that makes a whole lot more since(: it's confusing when they put level 5 on the end but i guess there isn't another number to put with it haha

yep....it is just kind of hard to get in our heads that this level 5 does not go to Worlds...but now...neither does Jr 5..we will get the hang of it about the time they change it again...hahaha

Also consider that the only 'level 5' skill not allowed are the more advanced ones (anything more than a kick double, anything more than a running to full)...double downs from one leg, kick doubles and fulls are all technically level 5, even if it isn't EVERYTHING allowed in level 5. It's 'restricted' (see what they did there) :P
