What will happen now with the announcement of Top Gun and Cali joining the semi-limited division?

Will there still be two separate divisions for semi and unlimited for worlds?

Will the two divisions be combined to make one large coed division and cap the number at 15-ish?

I am interested to hear what everyone's opinions are of what might happen.

Well I'd say you will see a few more gyms jump into unlimited to go for that ring this year!!

I don't think Unlimited should be a Worlds division this year, I've never been supportive of teams jumping into a division JUST because there's no major competition & they want a Words ring.

I dont think you will see that many jump. Honestly, fielding that many boys is hard and expensive. If anything were pulling the plug on unlimited and hopefully gonna let it just expire.

i think more teams will jump into the division. its unlimited but that doesnt mean teams are going to have as many boys as tg or cali did.

so apparently people think unlimited is going away? is there a post insinuating that?

The only think I like about the unlimited division is the ratio of boys to girls. Semi-coed you lose that. I would be in favor of something inbetween semi-limited and international coed. Have the boys capped at 15 or 16 (I like 16 because its an even number) and then cap the total allowed on the floor at 28 or 30 (along with the other 'Large' divisions). That allows for more of the "look" of unlimited, while still being more competitive.

I could totally be on board with this. :) But just cap all large teams at 30 and I'll be happy. haha

If they were gonna drop the number, I would praayyy it would be 28 or 32 just for the sake of stunts lol

Samee! Everybody has been saying cap large at 30 and I was so concerned that that wasn't divisible by 4! Haha

I agree. I think if we lowered the number of large from 36 to 28 (yes thats a big difference) but if we want to be taken seriously as a sport we need more than 10 teams in a divisions. I feel Large Senior would FLURISH if we lowered the number to 28. It still allows for 7 stunts.

I think "they" should do away with the semi-limited division. Let them all compete as unlimited. It used to be that way. Before there was a division for every one.
