tick tock to stretch, bump down, full up, scorp, scale, double.

SO ANNOYING. EVERY TEAM DOES THE SAME FREAKING THING!!!

also... routines that go like this:
standing tumbling
partner stunts
jumps
running tumbling
baskets
pyramid
dance

please mix it up some...

hahahah this is exactly what mine has been for the last 2 years

Well I think they get the most criticism for it because, in everyone else's opinion--CEA was the GODS of the tic toc!!! Well if that was a skill they mastered a few years ago, it would make sense that progression wise- they would be further ahead at this point! However, they are still doing the same thing? Yes they do it well, and have done it well, for several years now, but come on--something's gotta give?? There has to be some variation to that element that would score just as well, if not better? Is CEA gonna be the one to take that gamble?? I think that they'll wait till someone else taps in on it, then they'll go full force!!
I think they have progressed. They began with a single stretch to stretch no full ups. Then the had 3 double stretch tick tocks with still no full ups, then stretch to bow with a 1.25 up to immediate lib, now they do double tick tocks with a 1.25 up to immediate scorpion.

I'm see where you are coming from. And why yes, there is a tick tock in there in some form every year, it is not "the same thing" year after year. WCSS have done full ups for a long time. Isn't that the same idea?

posters who are always so quick to critique other, better teams than they are associated with and/or cheer for AND THEN get offended if someone talks about their gym/team.

fair weathered fans. i appreciate the true fans that like their teams when they're winning and losing.

small gym victim syndrome. big gyms are prone to injuries, losing kids, financial issues, etc too.

releasing music without the gyms permission. everyone can wait, it won't kill you.

inflating how good a team is because you like the gym they belong to. aka not really looking at the routine/skill compared to the rest of the teams in the division.

I could not agree any more with this whole post. Last season, my team's routine went like this:
Opening
Elite stunt
Jumps
Pyramid
Tumbling
Cheer-ish thing
Baskets
Dance

I mean, not a whole lot different, but still. You couldn't really predict what we were going to do next.

our routine is a lil different
standing
stunt
running
baskets
jumps
lib stunt
cheer
pryamid
dance

I don't fault them for doing it, I just don't like it. I get what they're doing. I don't think any team thinks about pleasing fans when they choreograph a stunt. I appreciate teams that can win year after year w/ a different stunt/routine everytime. Imo sr elite is just taking the easy route by doing the same thing every year. It seems like they don't set any goals...like ok we won worlds w/ this routine, lets do the same routine next year so we can win worlds again.. I have more respect for gyms that bring something new to the table each year.

When I see teams repeating themselves I remind myself that people graduate from the team and new younger people join. I might agree if it were the same 36 people year after year doing the same stunt, cause then I think even those girls would be tired of it,.. but tick tocks are the deal right now and if people like Ashley Hobbs are joining SE(basically as a tumbler) and have to learn to stunt with the big girls, you can't expect her to skip the 3 years that the older girls had doing them and move on to something crazyyyy and tumble for basically 2 minutes of the routine! And I also think people underestimate how hard these are (stretch being a hard position to tick tock from because the foot it basically out of sight for the bases).. just my opinion

I'd just like to point out that if it REALLY were as simple as 'Well, they've been doing such-and-such skill for years, why aren't they doing something HARDER!', that we should be seeing team standing fulls, team multiple bounce-back combo passes to double double, team double ups, etc. Like the poster above me said, every year each team gets new blood. Yes, some have been learning those skills for a while, but some may not have been practicing that long. Also consider that in the recent years the basic skill level elements for level 5 has gone from straight up stunts to full ups to 1 1/4 ups and tic toc variations. Why don't we tell Top Gun to stop kick doubling- who cares if they invented it, they've been doing it for years so DO SOMETHING NEW!!

The fact is: to score well in stunting, you need a full-up variation and a release move. If what CEA has been doing has them beating every other team in the division, why change? Note how CEA (with tic tocs), Orange (basically their whole routine), and various other repeat winners/wold champions are often the one accused of not enough 'variation?' The day Orange overhauls their setup is the year after they lose Worlds. Whenever that may be.

Okay, I respect your opinion, but I completely disagree.
