This Is My 1st Post With Questions...

My niece, a mother of a cheer champion who recently attended the event in Louisville has asked me for some guidance regarding her daughter's recruitment. She will be a sophmore in high school this fall. She has been on at least 2 world champion teams and even though the event was just a week ago she has begun hearing from colleges already...thus her mother's concern.

My first question is what would schools be recruiting her for exactly? That may seem like a dumb question but I suspect there are a lot of different directions her cheering could take her.

I would recommend they talk to the gym coaches. If she has been on 2 Worlds Champions teams I would suspect that program owner would have experience with college coaches and recruiting.

Very important advice here. Have her find a school that will fit her academically first and worry about cheer next.
