I was wondering how many traveling comps you guys all have? Traveling meaning requiring to get on a plane. I also hope this isn't a rude question, but about how much does it cost for 1 season of cheer at your gym or give me an average? Haha sorry I just want to know about the cost for most gyms... :) have a good day everyone!!!

CP has 2 flight comps this year (NCA Dallas and Worlds) and approx 3,000 before travel expenses and accessories

No flight comps this season except for our senior team going to Worlds. Typically though we have 1-2. And I am in total denial about how much it all costs so I do not like to add it all up .

At the most there were 2 plane trips. One was marginally drivable and the other was only for select teams. As for cost? I refuse to add it up

Three flight comps (Kansas City, Indy and Dallas) were able to drive the 8.5 hours (or 10.5 yesterday thank you I-95 North) to Orlando twice.

Atlanta (three times) myrtle beach, Richmond etc are all 5 hours to drive or less so I don't count them).

I refuse to answer the total amount question because I seriously don't want to know myself. There's not enough wine in the cellar to make me feel better about that.

@dawgshow and @12stepcheermama chickens, lol

I would never total up the whole season. Just the basic tuition requirements.

We had one hotel stay, but drive comp and will go to 2 flying. WE use some hotel points and airline miles, but if we didn't is imagine it'd cost about $1500 for airfare, 2 nights hotel, food, etc for just the travel part of the comps for cp and an adult.
Disney comps, multiply that by 2 or more.

We had three hotel stay required competitions (Ft.Worth, Dallas, and New Orleans), but all were 7 hours or less away so no flights.

As for total cost...don't even ask....I don't want to know!!

If our team had elected to go to the Summit it would have been $1000 in flights and another $1000+ in hotel and expenses.

I had 3 (UCA, Nashville, and summit) and I also went to/going to NCA and worlds to watch. For a worlds team/level 5 at my gym it can range from 4-7

No flights until level 3 for us, unless our Y2 gets a Summit bid.

Level 1mini= Six one-day comps local comps within 2 hour drive. $2200 ish

level 2- The above comps, plus 4 two-day Nationals within a 5 hour drive (Boston, MD and AC) the possibility of Summit $3000

Level 3+ - a disney comp , 4 2 day driveable Nationals, 5-6 locals and possibly Summit $3300ish

Wow! I had zero flights. It's about $2500 for the season without travel comps. Two hotel stays, one was 6 hours away and we stayed 4 nights in hotels (but we did a college visit and had to stay an extra night bc or weather), the other was Kansas City with 1/2 nights depending.

Four local one day comps, if we get a paid bid to US finals we may go, total cost $30 for September through April (program pays all comp fees).

This year, we flew to Louisville, Dallas, and Worlds. Additionally, we drive to AC, Myrtle, Richmond, Baltimore. Total hotel nights are 15....I imagine my total out of pocket including tuition, comp fees, and travel $5,000-$7000.
