I was disappointed in Top Gun with their little girl fly's this year.

Gaaaaah I was disappointed in Top Gun because they didn't come to Cheersport this year! My whole gym was like let down... Whenever will they learn to stop doing whats best for Top Gun and start doing what is best for other people (total strangers in particular)!

I think with the growing industry, girls/boys are getting involved at an earlier age and becoming extremely talented. If they have the skills and maturity level to participate on a senior team, why not?
I absolutely agree, look at Laney Madsen, she just turned 10 and she competed full punch full through to full at NCA this past weekend and toe full on her SO5 team!

although I understand what you TRULY mean ..

How could anybody be disappointed with the talent at Top Gun?

They probably just couldn't field enough guys for an unlimited team. Not every area is just a wealth of high school aged boys who can tumble and stunt at high level and willing to commit to a team of that caliber. It's happening all across the country. Look at the unlimited competition circa 05/06 vs today.

haha too funny. i completely agree!

If its a worlds team no matter how "tiny" you may think they are they still have to be 12 or over!!!
I agree that these very talented kids earned their spot but IMO having 12 year olds with 16,17 &18 year olds looks silly. Unless you have the 12 year old that looks like 15. When I watch teams I love when the flyers are all around the same in size and maturity. I think if you are going to fly young tiny flyers great but they should all be around the same in size otherwise the tiny one as fabulous as she is looks out of place. JMO

I'm disappointed in Top Gun because they don't have staff parking!!! Really ruffles my feathers!

Ya man, 3 smaller flyers out of 12 is such a let down isn't it?
I love Top Gun and cheer madly for them. Just saying the younger girls were just to prominent this year and took away from the typical mature level of the team.

Not disappointed, love Top Gun just felt the younger flys were too prominent this year and seemed out of place with the squad as a whole.

So are we saying Top Gun was the only team at NCA with several smaller flyers on their team?? Cause I believe I saw TONS of them. And that point flyer on Top Gun may be small but she deserves to be there. Who wouldn't put her on their senior team???
There are just as talented Level 5 Juniors so leave her on there. We all know it is easier to throw up an 80lb 12 year old than a 120 lb true senior. The judges get this too.

Well if Top Gun ever wants a 16 year old boy with a double full that lives in Rhode Island they can call me because I would give up my social life to be on Top Gun. aha

I know right? It's so disappointing when you come across such talented teams and individuals bc it means you have to actually raise the bar for yourself if you ever want to be truly competitive..

Wow I never thought of it that way... But I agree, what's with all these tiny flyers on senior teams?

You know, not all of them are 12...there are plenty of really small girls 5'4'' and under...in fact, there's a whole section in stores for them called "petites" and omg there are actually entire stores who only sell petite clothes (you know for women who are just as short)

Just bc someone is super tall doesn't mean they're automatically good at basketball..same thing for flyers...being small doesn't automatically make you a good flyer.

You don't the make up of athletes at a gym..for all you know, there are just as many equally qualified juniors who deserve their spot on that team and she'd be taking their spot away..

I don't know if this thought has occurred to most people that are wondering why they have people have tiny flyers. . . but what if they have bases that are tiny as well?!?!?!?! I say until you go to a gym and personally try and give someone a stunting lesson or two you need to worry about your own teams. (p.s. I would love to see the throw down between whoever went up to Victor and tried to give his team a stunting lesson). People love to complain about people having tiny flyers, but some kids are just going to be small. No kid on any team has to prove or justify themselves being on a Senior team to anyone on here. Talk about the division the team is in but not the kids on the team and/or how they look size wise.
