There was nothing sexual about it. Those shorts were such a turn off that I think I'd be hard pressed to find a straight man that found it sexually appealing. haha
I didn't realize this turned into a VMA thread lol. I understand Miley is "growing up" but so is Selena Gomez & many other, as we may call them, "child actors/actress'" but you don't see them pulling stunts like this. Miley is referring it as her "movement" I'd prefer to refer to it as a "downward spiral"
Compared to the other performances of the night, hers was like that team at all star competitions where everyone is running around and isn't quite sure of counts, drops most of their stunts and pretty much highlights every weakness they have. Everyone else had legit performances even if some were better than others. Someone needs to fire her "coach". (Justin Timberlake was high point champion. )

I don't think it's over the top, last year my 8 yr old daughter double teamed on a junior team, and my daughter told me aolder girl wanted to teach her how to twerk. My 8 yr old had no idea what that wasJust saw a Facebook post from a gym owner stating in no uncertain terms the gym's policy about social media, re-posting vulgar language etc. Also included in the post is the warning that if the gym's athletes post twerk videos on vine, that they're risking removal from the program.
I understand how I feel about the whole twerk thing, as a parent, but I also know that Elvis and The Twist were considered completely inappropriate and sexually explicit, back in the day.
Is the gym's policy over-the-top or on point?
This video pretty much sums up my view of twerking:
I appreciate your view. I think a lot of people only care because they had to watch it. And honestly the memes/twitter comments are hilarious and sad at the same time. Miley made it so easy to make fun of her with her choices. The outfit was tragic and so many words come to mind that are inappropriate for the Fierceboard (channel my 80 year old grandmother). But I agree, she was totally into it and happy to be doing. No question. I don't even care about the Hannah Montana equation. Clearly that era is over. Different time. I am just sad because I worry she seems to be skidding into Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes and Brittney territory.:( I don't want Miley to end up there because she made me care about her when she was Hannah Montana.
And on another note...
Don't you think Lady Gaga was peeved because no one was talking about her.:D I feel that Gaga makes calculated decisions when she is being out there. I feel like Miley is just throwing everything out there.
