I can see why people are upset about the 17+ rule, but honestly people have argued that 12 year olds shouldn't be on a team with an 18 year old so why should a 14 year old be able to be on the same team as someone in their 20s or 30s? With things like what happened with ICC and the certain former "cheerlebirty" it is understanable limit some more of the time these athletes are with people who are 18+.
 
International teams CAN compete in the club divisions at Worlds, but it rarely happens. Loony Dolphins have done it, UCC from Canada had a large limited 2 years ago, and this year RND from Canada has a small coed. It does happen, and it can happen, but it's rare.

But would it be worth sending a team costing over £1000, $1500+ per person, to compete in a club division where they wouldn't stand a chance of getting anywhere close to top 10? The UK is only just being exposed to the resources that many of the USA gyms have had for years, they wouldn't stand a chance. I hope the USASF is ready to say goodbye to a LOT of international teams
