We've always done double nines just because our coaches for some reason don't like pikes. Easier for the jumps to look higher maybe? Our jump combo this year is left front, toe, right front, double nine, back tuck and I find it so much harder to tuck out of a double nine than a toe touch...even a double bhs out of it is rough...

I dont see what the big fuss is about. Double 9's have never been hard for me and I am slightly more comfortable tumbling out of those than pikes.
