Barbeque, sour cream and onion, ketchup, and salt and vinegar. People say it's not as bad as it sounds.

That sounds awful---you had me until you got to ketchup and vinegar.

We need to go back to fried food conversations...those make my stomach happy.

The UK has some strange chip flavors. I've seen fried chicken, prawn cocktail, ketchup and other weird ones.

31 Wacky and Weird Flavors of British Potato Crisps | Anglophenia | BBC America

There's a scottish company called Mackies that makes some pretty whacky flavours -
Haggis and Black pepper
Scotch Bonnet chilli pepper
Honey and mustard
Venison and cranberry
Whisky and Haggis

But the same company also makes the best ice cream you've tasted, so so good.

Also, prawn cocktail is a standard flavour over here and is normal/common - so funny thats strange to you guys! :P

When we landed in the airport we stopped at a spar to get food and they had them. And then I saw them at every place after that. The flavors here are just so different from what we have in America

I love all dressed but they definitely don't taste like ketchup chips or sour cream and onion or vinegar chips lol my grandparents used to bring a bunch up for me (ruffled bbq and all dressed) when they used to visit when I lived in the states and all my friends loved them!

Chips are my weakness. Some flavours are weird though, fries and gravy, roast chicken, lobster, and smokey bacon are my least favourites. Love all dressed, salt and vinegar, and dill pickle [emoji173]️

Prawn cocktail is my life. They do prawn cocktail Pringles and they are everything. I loved ranch flavoured crisps (chips) when I was in Florida but I don't know what the alternative is here (maybe cool Doritos?)

Imagine the texture (and a little bit of the taste) of the seaweed stuff you can get at markets in chip form. Not good.
Home made kale chips are much better than store purchased ones. I love them. It did take a few attempts to get it just right. There's only about a 30 second window between done and dust, though.

You haven't lived until you've eaten an authentic Scottish deep-fried Mars bar.
I could feel the diabetes coming on with every bite.
YES. I went to this little place in Edinburgh when I was visiting that said they'd pretty much deep-fry anything but M&Ms 'cause they'd get lost. Mars bar was ON POINT.

One time I came home from Ireland I had a layover at Heathrow and tried Prawn Cocktail. Honestly just tasted a little ketchupy and tangy but still really good.

Japan has WEIRD food but so yummy! Funny though- they're all about french pastries and some german desserts. Like that one that's basically a log of pastry/cake dough..kinda looks like a tree when it's cut in half. No idea, had it all the time. Japanese don't seem to really do dessert though- maybe that's why they're big on the European ones?

They LOVE their sweet bean paste and sweet potato stuff. They also do these slightly sweet scrambled egg sticks and mochi balls rolled in fine peanut "flour". I never tried it, but they do pancakes with sweet bean paste in the middle- kinda like a whoopie pie but not. Okinawa makes these really delicious donuts though- they're lightly sweet with banana and apple (but you don't get that texture, they're still like regular donuts, maybe a bit thicker). I loved trying all the different foods.
