the life of a backspot: getting hit in the same spot on the arm when your flyer doubles...usually every single time. oh or in the nose.

I'm going to start taking pictures of all my bruises now just for the entertainment of everyone in this thread.

omg tell me about it. double downs = an elbow to the arm almost all the time!

I bruised so much, back spot, that it became a joke with my non cheer friends, did your boyfriend beat you?, or when people who didn't know would ask at school we'd say I got in a fight with a big guy or something ridiculous. That upper arm bruise post above, @Batch , I basicly had it weekly, lol those are one of the worst.

I feel like I always look like an abused person! I've had a lot of people ask too! No pictures but my junior year of high school I had a HUGE permanent, year long, bruise on my left arm. My flyer had torn her ACL and EVERY time I caught her in a cradle the brace hit the same spot on my arm. The bruise didn't go away until she got released from wearing the brace. Other than that I've had a lot of bruises but its just part of being a base!

Not a bruise, but my teammate's dislocated knee cap, just from dancing!
Yes, that is his knee there on the side
Scariest experience of my life!
I thought it was a deformed foot at first... yikes!

I'm a backspot this year and my flyer elbows me in the arm from her double down and it hurts really bad for like 5 mins then goes away but I'm always sore the next day.... I bruise pretty easily... I ALWAYS have bruises!!!
