I'm honestly appalled that nobody stopped the music..in all 10 years of Allstars, I've never seen a person get hurt and the music not stop. That was SUCH a hazard and I'm surprised there weren't more injuries with one girl dripping blood, hands could've slipped and chaos would break out. I think this needs to be USASF's next rule to put in place, "music must be stopped on account of an injury."

If someone is bleeding they absolutely positively should stop the music!!! Even if the person appears to not be in pain. Coming in contact with another person's blood is a health hazard.

From what I've gathered from people who were there, friends with people on Cali, and people who are in fact on Cali: blood got on the girl - who wiped it off her face - she was fine and wasn't bleeding... must of been a lot of blood! she looked like she just kept wiping!!

For the girl who had to be taken off by the jamz instructors who looked like she collapsed in the back, what happened to her? Did she faint? Could she not walk because she was the one who tore her ACL? Was she one of the ones who collided?

Why didn't the coach run onto the floor after the first injury/collision or when the girl limped off stage?

Can I ask an ignorant question? What kind of team is this? (Level) That is so scary :( these girls are obviously very experienced and accidents happen, but wow. :(
I will reserve judgement on coaches stopping for others, but I can say safely that if MY child were in that kind of trouble on the mat, you would probably find me scaling walls to get to her. I absolutely trust CPs coaches to make calls for the team in good experienced (which I have none of) judgement, but those girls stumbling around.. Not on my watch. I don't care if this is the Olympics, nothing is that important and you are never too elite or fierce to save yourself!

I don't think I coach can run on the floor unless both or just one of them is down and doesn't get up or the music is stopped. I remember one year on my team we had a collision of 3 people Yvette music wasn't stopped because everyone kept going. Ive also seen routines though where someone was hurt and went off the floor yet everything kept going as well. Maybe it depends on the EP

I have a dumb question. I've watched the video 3 times and I saw the tumbling collision with the two girls. What happened to the others? There were 4 injuries?

Why would they wait so long to cut the music? I have always been terrfied of a base crawling off the mat and no finding out till after the flyer does a cross over in the pyramid.

There was nothing brave about that, its unnecessary. This poor team should know when its time to stop and when its time to continue, that goes for any team. Along with other warning signs if there is blood you have to stop.
How did the USASF focus group miss this when they were concentrating on all the safety issues like wearing a shirt over your uniform.
I would be pretty upset if that was my daughter. Not about the accident but the part about continuing.

I was watching and there were 4 injuries. Two of the girls collided during standing tumbling (which are the 2 with the head wraps in the picture...Taylor and Paige. Then one reinjured her ribs (Jasmine) and then when Megan (not pictured) was doing a roundoff full her knee buckled and popped and they think she tore her ACL but is waiting until she gets back to Vegas to go to the hospital.
