That was from when they were on Anderson Cooper I believe, all the moms had to dress like the girls to see what it felt like, clearly honey boo and her mom liked it lol.

So when I was at Worlds I saw this lady with her hair half up half down with a poof and a huge cheer bow, a full length sports bra and biker shorts...she was not young and if it was my mom or a mom from a team I coached I would of asked her to put something else on, it was pretty tragic!

At Worlds this year, I wore a tiny red clip on bow that my 6 month old usually wears. It was a really small barrette clip. My daughter and her teammates loved it. They wanted me to wear it both days but I had to draw the line in the sand and say no to the second day.

I personally can't stand cheer mom's in bows and competition make up, but it also bothers me when siblings of the athletes do the same thing..

I think it looks cute when younger sibs wear the bows and a little makeup. Older sibs and moms are another story.

I think a headband bow would be okay - I sat next to a Cali mom at Worlds and she had one and it was cute. But full-size cheer bow is a little too much.

I know parents who have dressed the siblings up to get out of paying admission, so that could be the answer for the ones you've seen.

I have a little back pack bow that dangles discretely from my purse. That is how I show my cheer support. I tried to wear a shirt with rhinestones and felt stupid. But that's just me. We all have to be who we are. And whoever said they would football punch their mom if they wore a bow, well I think mine would nuclear blast me.
